What's in a name?
That was the main production office phone number at Guiding Light, where we both got our starts in television.
Back then, part of our jobs involved answering the phones, transferring calls to producers and writers, and chatting with fans who called the production office. Some called regularly enough that we got to know them by name. A few even became friends.
It was also where we met in 1999 and began a friendship that's lasted more than 25 years.
So when we were trying to come up with a name for our production company, we thought, why not borrow the last four digits of the phone number we used to answer all those years ago?
And that's how Fifty-Three Thirty Productions got its name.
If you ever called 212-986-5330 back in the day, there's a pretty good chance one of us answered.

Brett Staneart is an Emmy and Writers Guild Award-winning television writer and producer whose career spans scripted and unscripted television. His credits include Guiding Light, The Young and the Restless, and thirteen seasons of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, including five as Executive Producer.
Co-Founder & Executive Producer
Dana Halber Kleiman spent eight years as a Producer on Guiding Light, overseeing talent relations and production scheduling to maximize efficiency and control costs. An attorney as well as a television producer, she brings creative, production, and business expertise to Fifty-Three Thirty Productions.
